Most people probably think of Dungeons & Dragons as an in-person event with a DM’s dice hidden behind a screen and players gathered around a table with snacks and piles of books, but there’s no reason gaming groups can’t keep their campaigns going (or start brand new ones) digitally during this period of time. To help push players in that direction, Wizards of the Coast has been rolling out free DnD content on a weekly basis to keep the game alive and well in the age of social distancing.

In addition to the excellent free Wildemount adventure, The Frozen Sick, D&D fans are also being given access to a number of short adventure league scenarios to run through. This week’s adventure, The Courting of Fire, is pulled from the Tyranny of Dragons content and offers a thrilling challenge for players in the level 1-4 range.
In addition to the free Adventure League module, the team at D&D is also offering a very cool coloring book page that originally appeared in the 1979 AD&D Coloring Album, by artist Greg Irons. the art features an Umber Hulk and should be a nice relaxing coloring project for an adult or maybe something to keep the little one busy while you read and prep to run the Dragonspire Mountains adventure.
Wizards of the Coast has been offering a lot of exciting freebies to support remote play in the last month, so stay tuned to this channel and keep an eye on the official Dungeons and Dragons social media accounts to make sure you don’t miss any other freebies. Social distancing is definitely not a good time, but at least there is some free gaming content to help keep our sanity.
