As for what comes next for Allen, Coach K wouldn’t give a direct answer.
Allen apologized to Santa Ana in a postgame meeting arranged by Krzyzewski that also included Elon coach Matt Matheny. Later, a tearful Allen told reporters he was “ashamed” for his “selfish act.”

SN’s Mike DeCourcy is clear about what should happen next: Duke needs to sit Allen for at least the Blue Devils’ ACC opener on Dec. 31. Allen’s lengthy history would justify a ban of some type. It should be an easy call for Krzyzewski and/or the conference.
